Put-to-light

The system is usually applied for a batch sortation process. It works like a pick-to-light process in reverse. Once all items from multiple orders are picked in the warehouse and then directed to the put-to-light area. The operator reads a certain SKU/ Barcode in the system and then all the locations required for this item will be displayed by their lights, where each location can represent a single customer, order or destination. The picker will distribute the item to each location, with the exact quantities indicated and confirm via a confirmation button.
